I heard Aaron Thornton play this originally, and decided I had to learn it. After I learned it, I heard different versions from David Schnaufer, and Stephen Seifert, and I decided to make my own version. Its a work in progress, but I hope yall will enjoy it.

First off, I would like to dedicate this song to my Dad as a Christmas present.
I learned this song from David Schnaufer's "Learning the Mountain Dulcimer", and then I altered it here and there to fit my style.
P.S Sorry for not getting my episode up last week, my preamp needed new batteries, and my dulcimer needed new strings. Thanks for watching!

I got a complaint on the last shady grove, saying that they liked it, but they wished it was more traditional. I promised the person I would make one more version of Shady Grove for them. It is D A D D tuning (individual 4 string tuning), capo one. I will not be taking the other version down because I found a lot of players enjoyed that version as well.

The first time I heard this song, I was listening to Masters of the Mountain Dulcimer (pt 2) and I heard David Schnaufer and Stephen Seifert playing it. After a little bit, I was able to learn it, and mix it up a bit, and this is what came out
