If you ever come to Austin Texas you must visit the Broken Spoke. It's a local law with a hefty fine if you fail to follow instructions. I love this place. I love the music that flows through here too, but mostly I just love this place.

Brand new nice joint that they were still putting the finishing touches on. It's on the end of Sixth Street near Lamar.

Maria's Taco Xpress brought to you by a shrewd business woman who made Walgreen's build her a new restaurant in exchange for the years left on her lease of the property where they are now located. I tip my hat to Maria. http://www.tacoxpres s.com/

I like bars that feel like night once you walk in the door and they don't get much darker than this place. A very cool South Austin Beerjoint that has great music almost every night of the week.

This is the only bar I can say I have been in hundreds of times, except for Charlie's Village Inn in Oakfield New York and that was over thirty five years ago.

This was the second time I have been in here. Before today I never took a look around, I just came in because I was walking while carrying a heavy ass Djembe, after a peace march that did no good, and I was tired and wanted a beer and a place to cool down. They had it then and they have it now. Drop in during SXSW2008

This is one of the very few hot dog joints in Austin. For 50 cents extra you can have it vegetarian, but that would be criminal and anti Texan. They have a couple of good beers on Tap. It's fast, easy and cheap, my three favorite things. If you add beer, it's my four favorite things. http://www.dogalmigh tyhotdog.com/

To me, this is the best pie in town. It's only warm by the time I get home but it is worth the drive. I usually order and then wait around across the street. This time I hung out at the joint.
This should be a how to video as in how to run a successful business.

They started in the 70's I'm not sure of the date but I'll try and look it up. I spaced out at the end and tried to include the entire corner in my Conan visit. But, I think it works, don't you?
