This song is sung in the 3-gah scale. It starts with a beautiful play of clarinet that is unique. It also, shows the incredible ability of Iraj in singing fast songs and mixing them with avaaz.
Golhaye Rangarang #420 is in the 4-gah scale sung by Mahasty and Iraj and orchestrated by Parviz Yahaghi who is also the violin player in this piece. This is the portion sung by IRAJ. The Mahasty portion will be uploaded if requested. It must be uploaded separately due to time limitation
Part A of the 28-min Shakheh-Gol 225: This part contains Nay only. I do not know who has played this relaxing Nay piece. Part B has Nay and Tarr and toward the end of Part B, IRAJ sing one verse of this program. The rest is sung by IRAJ in Part C.
The third verse says:" Khorsheed-e May ze Mashregh-e Saaghar Toloo'e Kard." may be interpreted as: The Sun rose from the East of the Globe(the celestial sphere, the sky). Here, a resemblance is made between "Saaghar" (a glass that holds wine) and the globe of sky, specially at sunrise that becomes redish or "Gol-goon" , like red wine.
This is one out of many many taraneh's by IRAJ. He sung this taranah in 1349 Khorsheedi. It is in 3-gah scale. It shows the versatility in IRAJ's singing. The part that he says: "Shab keh meesheh,.... Choon hameesheh...." is very difficult to mimick, not that other parts are easy!!!
This is Part 1 of Barg Sabz 220 that IRAJ has sung this piece in Afshari Scale (dastgah). I am not sure if the Tarr (similar to guitar) is played by Jalil Shahnaz, Majd, or another musician.
