the great and seemingly forgotten Italian soprano Amelita Galli-Curci singing 'Chanson Solvejg' by Edvard Grieg, from his suite of incidental music for 'Peer Gynt'. This is from late in her career and is an electronically processed recording- not optimal for playback on a Victrola, but the artistry shines through nonetheless.
