Scratchy film projections, a red dress, a blonde wig, a union jack t-shirt....all good ways to make a simple performance video memorable. One of the earliest GobTV vids...sorry about the rough version, it's nth generation copy.

PUNK ROCK!!
S*M*A*S*H were the flag-bearers of the so called New Wave of New Wave. How NME was that?
Still. we liked them, a lot.
This video gave us a chance to play with punk imagery, which for a pair of saddos like GOBTV was good fun.
And Louise looks ace.

SHot on 35 mm by the very wonderful and sadly missed, Ian Owles. Some of the still grabs from this are amazing. I'll put them up at www.flickr.com/borol ad259

Tony De Vit (RIP)
This is a rare, not often seen video which we made for Brummie house DJ Tony De Vit (playing the Svengali/Dali here. The budget was low (par for the course at PWL), so we made the most of an art dealer friend's generosity...we shot it in his house (the same house, trivia fans, that Placebo's first vid was shot in).
It was a laugh.

There's a version with good sound in My Videos now.
Full version. Skin is pregnant with the rockstar, Jesus, who is bigger than the Beatles....she travels through the deep South with a fundamentalist Christian truck driver who makes it his business to sort her out.
Don't ask about the sheep.

Just a short clip, but a good one. I love this video. Louise looks fantastic in the specially made retro Air Hostess outfit. We had every Elvis in Britain on set, which was at Southend airport funnily enough.
Great song too.

This is a high res version.
Made this one in 2004. On the same label as Happy Life (ALBERT). Paul Isola, the singer would be one of the cleverest people I've met in the biz, and I really liked him.
This was shot on film in about 4 hours, very cheaply at a former blast furnace in Rotherham, Yorkshire (thanks Magna).
Great band. Excellent live.
